N-Com is assisting independent telephone companies with designing and implementing DSL throughout their service areas. The challenge for many rural companies is extending DSL to their subscribers located beyond the reach of central office DSLAMs. N-Com is currently working with providers to cost effectively deliver DSL to low density areas, through a combination of DLC DSL upgrades, 1 RU DSLAM overlays, and DSL extension technology. In many cases HDSL is being deployed in conjunction with ADSL roll-outs to replace legacy T1 circuits.
